Zucchini
Zucchini are among the pumpkin species. The fruit vegetable is available in many different colours: white, yellow, light and dark green as well as striped. The flesh is similar to that of cucumber but somewhat firmer. It is harvested when it reaches a size of 14 to 20 centimeters.

Sunny, warm and sheltered place provides the ideal place for growing zucchini. The requirements for the soil look as follows: The soil should be deep and permeable as well as particularly rich in nutrients. Many nutrients and plenty of water favor a high-yield harvest of zucchini.
Use
Zucchini are very versatile and can be enjoyed raw (grated or in thin slices) as well as steamed, fried or grilled. They are wonderful stuffed with a meat or vegetable filling, topped with a little cheese and baked, but are also suitable for barbecuing in the summer or for salads. They can even be used as a substitute for pasta. Simply cut the vegetable into the desired shape using a spiral vegetable slicer or food processor. Storage
Zucchini keep in the crisper drawer of the fridge for up to 12 days. They should not be stored together with apples and tomatoes, as these speed up the ripening process.
